Finally got to see you live sometime before Christmas over in S. Knoxville. The concert and worship experience was tremendous. You all can stand up and sing with any group, any where. Your sound reminds me of some middle ground between that of Claude and Connie Hopper's clan and The Nelons, back in their day. Your blends, especially the siblings' trio, are (naturally) great, too. And the lead variations and part switches between all of you - as well as your instrumental musicianships, really add to the variety and professionalism of your concerts. Just wanted to check in and let everyone know that God is still good. He is blessing our ministry in ways we would never have believed. I always want to be found humble before the Father. He says we must be if we enter heaven. We are working on our new CD and I believe it is going to be the best yet. Tracy is a talented songwriter and arranger and we thank God that we do not have outsource for this gift. It is right here among us. Give honor to whom honor is due. She deserves it. My brother Chris is the mouthpiece and never lacks for something to say when Tracy and I STAND THERE LIKE A DEER IN HEADLIGHTS! HA He is an annointed man of God and I am truly proud of him. He is a wonderful singer and musician. What can we say about Dad? One of the best singers I have ever heard, barring none. No, I am truly not prejudiced. He can play any instrument he picks up and can bring people to tears with a song. He had an accident on the lake a while back and it messed up his vocal cords a little bit. I want you to help me pray, believing, that God restores him to his full potential. Blake our youngest brother, I am so proud of. He is engaged to be married in June to a wonderful girl, Morgan. He plays drums for us and does an amazing job to have just sat down to them about 4 years ago. We are truly a blessed family to have the closeness we share. Mom can't sing, and she'll be the first to tell you that, but I can't imagine not looking back in the audience and not seeing her. She is a wonderful Christian woman. One of these days she'll have a new voice and a new song that the angels can't even sing. Then we can sing together. Won't it be wonderful. Can you even imagine. Ritchie, our first cousin and bass player extrordinare-HA. Don't get me wrong, he really is an extraordinary bass player. He also has a beautiful voice that we sometimes get him to use. Jimmy Muncey is our sound man and comedian of the group. He keeps our sprits up when we are dragging. He is truly an asset to our group and we wouldn't take a million dollars for him. God, forgive me for that big ole lie I just told. Just kidding. He is our right hand man and does whatever needs to be done without being told. There aren't many left like that. Who just want to be a blessing. Pray for us tomorrow. 11-8-08. We are going to Smyrna Tn. to make a Gaither type video with Eddie Crook. We want God to have all the glory and honor in everything we undertake to do. Well, I guess that's all from me. I hadn't written in so long that I felt I had to catch up. Just wanted to drop a line telling the fans how very much we appreciate them. Without you, there would be no Washams. We do not want to sing to ourselves JUST TO BE SINGING, WE COULD DO THAT AT OUR HOMES. We are in it to see souls come back to Christ, or meet Him for the first time.IT'S NEVER TO LATE TO MEET THE SAVIOUR. Think about it. I know there are a lot of problems in the wourld today, but think past the hype. We want a good Christion man to run for precidency. One who will stand upon His beliefs. To many politishions promise the world and never deliver. This is probably a change in the world as we know it. Pray about it. God will never leave you alone. You know what's right and wrong. To take care of a Down's Syndrome baby and still run for VP of the USA. WE, AS AVERAGE PEOPLE, CONDEMN HER WHEN WE DO NOT EVEN TALK TO HER. THEIR CHOICE IS THERE CHOICE. MOVE ON PEOPLE. SHE SEEMS TO HAVE MORE COMMON SENSE THAN HALF OF CONGRESS PUT TOGETHER. IT SEEMED WE USED TO BE ECSTATIC WHEN A WOMAN WOULD MOVE INTO AN IMPRESSIVE OPPOINTMENT. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO US? i THINK CERTAIN PEOPLE(I WON'T NANE NAMES, BUT I THINK SARA PALIN HAS THE DEMS RUNNING SCARED. GOOD FOR HER. A LITTLE SHAKE UP IN HOLLOWOOD IS A "GOOD THING", AS MARTHA SAYS.

GOSPEL LETTER Faith in God is believing that God is and is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Faith in God boils down to just one thing, will you trust Him in life’s greatest trials? Paul the Apostle was a prisoner on a ship, when a great storm arose. The ship was in great danger of sinking, but God spoke to Paul by an angel who told him that if they all stayed in the ship it would not sink, and they would all be saved. What trust this took, how many of us would have tried some other way, maybe by swimming, or clinging to some piece of old wood. Paul’s words of faith and trust in God brought them all to safety, but the ship was lost. Dear Saints, when the wind blows and the storms of life crashes against you, hold on tight to God’s promises and rest in His peace, for He said, “ I am mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea”, {Psalm 93 v 4}. Jesus was in a boat in lake Galilee when a great storm arose, yes He was fast asleep, but His disciples were in great panic and distress. How could Jesus sleep through such a storm? Because He totally trusted His Heavenly Father. In great panic His disciples shook Him and woke Him up, and said “don’t you care if we perish? ”Jesus replied,” “Where is your faith?” And He gave a command for the storm to cease. And if you put your total unwavering trust in Him, He will command that storm in your life to cease. i'm speaking in behalf of my Mother who passed away in February at Sunbridge Healthcare and Rehab. She love Robin and the Washam's music. It lifted her spirits in her last days. She had MS and wasn't an old woman when she died. She would wan't you all to keep singing for Christ. I know she is waiting for you to help you sing in that great angel band. Keep that smile, Robin. I love this family's music. I have both their CD'S. Totally astounding that they wrote all the songs for the second CD. Vocal talent, play their own instruments, and write their own songs? No where to go but up!!!!!!!!!!!

Can I ask, what more could you ask for? Great talent (and great is not a strong enough word), wonderful preaching (just tell it like it is, brothers, hit where it hits), and the sweet spirit of God to season it all! They should be on a big stage somewhere. If they keep going the way they are, they'll eventually get there.

I am Jackie's (Wallen's cousin). I echo her sentiments. I would also like to hear daddy and son in a duet. Man, what beautiful voices these kids have, and men. The one that sings tenor (the black headed one) stands there singing in the clouds like it doesn't strain her a note, and what spirit she carries. What a talent God has given. What a spiritual family. Like the last person said, it's not often that you find spirit to go with the good vocals and harmony. Let your lights shine on for Jesus. I can't wait until their next CD comes out. I do have a comment though, I would like to hear a duet by the two sisters in the group. The brown headed ones voice is smooth and mellow, and the black headed one has a voice like a tiger. I can tell she's trying her best to hold it back. I would like to see those two just cut loose on a song. That would be something to hear. God bless you all!

I've never heard the Washam's sing, but I work with Robin. I believe she sings tenor for their group. If I've ever met anyone with a sweeter spirit I don't remember it.
